Google co-founder Sergey Brin finalizes divorce after wife Nicole’s alleged affair with Elon Musk

Google co-founder Sergey Brin has finalized his divorce from estranged wife Nicole Shanahan after she was accused of — and denied — having an affair with Elon Musk.

Court documents obtained by Page Six show that the judge signed off on the duo’s split on May 26.

The closed case filing also states that the former couple will share joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter.

Any financial issues were kept confidential and will be solved by the pair’s prenuptial agreement.

Brin, 50, filed for divorce from Shanahan, 34, on Jan. 6, 2022, after three years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

While Shanahan did not contest the divorce at the time, the Bia-Echo Foundation founder did request spousal support.

According to the filing, she has been given “non-guideline” child support. The amount, however, remains confidential.

Although the divorce was reportedly prompted by the alleged affair, both the Tesla founder and Shanahan have vehemently denied any infidelity.

“This is total bs,” Musk tweeted following the Wall Street Journal’s bombshell report about the alleged dalliance in July 2022. “Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night!

“I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around,” he continued. “Nothing romantic.”

Musk, 52, went on to claim that the outlet had engaged in “character assassination,” going so far as to admit he hadn’t “had sex in ages (sigh).”

Shanahan also blasted the report as an “outright lie” at the time. A year later, she clarified to People that she and the SpaceX founder had a “collegial” relationship.

“Did Elon and I have sex, like it was a moment of passion, and then it was over? No,” Shanahan claimed in July.

“Did we have a romantic relationship? No. We didn’t have an affair.”

A rep for the WSJ said in a statement, “We are confident in our sourcing, and we stand by our reporting.”

Shanahan explained that she sought out Musk for advice about how to help with her daughter’s autism treatments, as he has been vocal about his own Asperger’s syndrome.

“It was a conversation that was very meaningful about life and how people show up for one another,” she explained.

“To be painted with such a massive scarlet letter for it just seems so unfair.”
