Katharine McPhee and her husband, David Foster, are still grieving the death of their son’s nanny after she was killed in a motor accident.

“It’s been tough for [McPhee],” Foster, 73, told “Entertainment Tonight” Thursday.

“Yeah, it’s been tough. She’s managing.”

The musicians lost their son’s nanny, Yadira Calito, after an 84-year-old woman accidentally crashed into a Toyota dealership in San Fernando Valley, Calif. last month.

Calito — who watched the couple’s 2-year-old son, Rennie — had been waiting for her car to be serviced when she was struck. She was 55 at the time of her death.

Following the “horrible family tragedy,” McPhee, 39, was forced to leave her husband’s “Hitman” tour in Asia early and return home.

She vaguely announced the bad news to her 916,000 Instagram followers in a post that read, “Dearest Jakarta fans, it’s with heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final two shows of our Asia run.

The “American Idol” alum furthered, “Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all. Love Katharine.”

The very next day, McPhee was spotted looking somber as she made her way through LAX and then once again, while running errands in Los Angeles.

Foster and McPhee tied the knot in 2019 before welcoming their only son in 2021. Foster also shares five adult children — Allison, 53, Amy, 50, Sara, 42, Erin, 40, and Jordan, 36 — with previous partners.

However, despite the tragedy, the couple appears to be moving forward as they prepare to release a Christmas album and tour the US in November.

Foster referred to the holiday set list as a “fresh” take on the usual jolly tunes.

“You could give me a song title right now of a Christmas song, I’d go to the piano,” Foster told the outlet.

“I could do it probably three or four different ways without really thinking about it. In a jazzy way, in a country way, in a classical way, in a slow way, in a fast way. And so I just mix it up.”
