Meghan Markle steps out in under-$160 J.Crew sweater, Staud shorts at Invictus Games
Just call it quiet luxury for (a little) less.
Meghan Markle joined Prince Harry in the stands at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Wednesday, sporting a laid-back yet luxe sweater-and shorts-combo.
And while her two-tone Chanel slingbacks ring in at $1,050, not everything from her latest look could make shoppers as flat broke as designer ballet flats.
In addition to under-$200 shorts from celebrity-loved label Staud — the Luisa Pleated Cotton Shorts ($175), to be precise — Markle sported a J.Crew Giselle V-Neck Sweater Blazer ($158).

While she opted for a crisp white version with black contrast trim, it’s also available in four solid colors, all of which are currently marked down to $110 — plus a non-V-neck version, the Giselle Sweater Blazer, which originally retailed for $158 but can now be yours for between $120 and $126, depending on which shade you choose.
Both brands are among the Duchess of Sussex’s favorites; in addition to selecting a different pair of Staud shorts for a Lakers Game in April, she’s picked plenty of J.Crew pieces over the years, ranging from dainty bling to durable outerwear.
Her latest look comes after she flew to the games — an annual event held for wounded, sick and injured servicemen and women — from Los Angeles on Monday night.

She then made her first appearance at the games on Tuesday, delivering a speech while wearing another budget-friendly fashion find: a pleated Banana Republic Factory shirt dress ($60, originally $140) teamed with matching pumps.
“It is so special to be here, and I’m so sorry that I was a little late for the party,” she said to the crowd, per Hello! magazine.
