Kaitlyn Bristowe’s warning to ‘Bachelorette’ Charity Lawson: ‘DWTS’ pro Alan Bersten is ‘kind of a d—k’
Charity Lawson is getting the real tea regarding what goes on behind-the-scenes at “Dancing With the Stars.”
Ahead of her upcoming debut on the dance competition series, fellow “Bachelorette” alum Kaitlyn Bristowe – who won Season 29 with pro Artem Chigvintsev – warned Lawson that Alan Bersten is “kind of a d–k.”
She made the revelation while brainstorming potential partners for Lawson during the latest episode of her “Off The Vine” podcast.
“I think possibly Artem because [of] the height. I think possibly Alan because I could see them putting you with him, only because he’s, like, one of the more well-loved, I feel like, out of a lot of them,” Bristowe explained.
“And I feel like I could see you and your fun personality with him.”
Bristowe then called Bersten “crazy in the ballroom” before adding, “He’s kind of a d–k, but I can see it.”
The podcast host then didn’t hold back, calling all the “DWTS” pros “d–ks.”
“Well, they’re all d—ks. They’re all d—ks, I’m telling you. Buckle up,” Bristowe warned.
Bristowe admitted that even Chigvintsev is “so hardcore” – noting, however, that that strict work ethic could work to Lawson’s benefit.
“He’s Russian and that’s how he was trained growing up. He’ll believe in you, and he’ll push you to your limits, which we love,” Bristowe offered. “And then Alan would be an absolute nightmare, but it would be really, like, he would take you far.”
Bristowe did have some kinder words to say about dancer Brandon Armstrong, calling him “fun.”
“I would love if you were with Brandon,” Bristowe said. “He’s probably the nicest and he’s just so goofy and sweet and means well and so fun.”
After giving her partner predictions, Bristowe offered up some sage advice as a “DWTS” veteran.
“Get yourself an ice footbath,” Bristowe laughed. “You just gotta ice your feet, battle through the pain, smile, enjoy, and always come back to the two of you at the end of the day,” she said, referring to Lawson and her fiancé Dotun Olubeko, who was also present for the interview. ”Because it’s going to go by so fast.”
As previously reported, Lawson and Olubeko got engaged in front of ABC cameras during the three-hour Season 20 finale of “The Bachelorette.”
Olubeko then revealed in the same episode that Lawson would be joining Season 32 of the dance competition show.

Meanwhile, Bristowe danced her way to first place alongside Chigvintsev during Season 29 of “DWTS.”
And like Lawson, she got her reality TV start on “The Bachelor” franchise, competing for Chris Soules’ heart on Season 19 of the show before losing to runner-up Becca Tilley and winner Whitney Bischoff.
She went on to star as the Season 11 “Bachelorette” lead, where she got engaged to contestant Shawn Booth during the finale.
Bristowe and Booth called off their engagement in November 2018. She moved on with Jason Tartick – another member of Bachelor Nation – but the two sadly broke up after four years together in August.
