Julia Fox hits back at haters of her most naked NYFW look yet: ‘It’s just my body’
Gird your loins, because this star isn’t changing her style.
Julia Fox stepped out in a tamer-than-usual outfit for Wednesday night’s Victoria’s Secret World Tour fashion show screening in New York, wearing a slinky gown with black angel wings as she opened up about a much bolder look that got her into some hot water this week.
The “Uncut Gems” muse — who wore a shimmery sheer silvery white slip dress with a white bra and panty underneath for the event — spoke with ET about the jaw-dropping metal bikini by Seks that she sported underneath a trench coat for Tuesday’s Naomi Campbell x PrettyLittleThing runway show.
“I got in trouble for that one,” she admitted. “There were a lot of haters, being like, ‘This is unacceptable. This is setting such a bad example.’ But, it’s like, ‘Why?’ It’s just my body.”
“Is my body, like, ugly? Is my body a crime?” she added. “Did my body slap your grandma? The way that they were acting, it was like, ‘What the heck!'”
Some of the commenters on Page Six’s Instagram post of the barely there outfit had much to say about the skin-baring look.
“Can someone just buy her some clothes?!? She always neked!!,” one person said while another called the outfit “desperation.”
“It’s a good advertisement for her waxer,” one fan hilariously quipped.
Aside from her earlier fashion week choice, Fox shared her excitement about appearing in Victoria’s Secret reimagined fashion show — which airs on Amazon Prime on Sept. 26 — telling the outlet, “I’m really happy about it. I grew up wearing Victoria’s Secret and stealing the underwear and bras, but that’s the old me. Now I get it for free! Still not paying, take notes.”
Despite the critics, Fox has been having the time of her life this NYFW, stepping out in a black latex look with the same wings for a Victoria’s Secret fashion shoot earlier Wednesday as well as an outfit made entirely from watches for a Pandora party that night.
“BEWARE: THEY KNOW THE VIBES 🌀 and @juliafox is NOT afraid to use them 🖤 😈 #TheTour23” Victoria’s Secret captioned an Instagram post showing the former dominatrix strutting the streets of New York City in a bra top and latex “pantashoes” with platforms while sipping on a Slurpee.
As for her silver ‘fit, Seks – helmed by designer Abel Cepeda Ljoka and Will Kowall — exclusively shared with Page Six Style that the brand’s controversial style “is a hybrid of vintage silver pieces.”
Although it appears to be a bikini, the ensemble is actually a one-piece bodysuit connected by chains, which was created by placing the items “piece by piece to a dress form.”

The duo says that the design came “organically” and “wasn’t planned,” and that Fox was the only person they could have put in the piece, adding “Can you imagine anyone else in this look? Anyone else creating this moment?”
Despite the controversy from the model’s bold outfit, the Seks team agrees that her innovative style helps break boundaries.
“For fashion to move forward, it has to be fearless,” they tell us. “And it is Julia’s fearlessness that pushes fashion, shaping what’s to come.”
