‘Overjoyed’ Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to movie theaters as a concert film

Taylor Swift fans who struck out on scoring tickets to the Eras Tour will finally have a chance to see the concert event of the year.

The “Anti-Hero” singer announced Thursday that she is bringing her sold-out, blockbuster show to thousands of movie theaters across North America beginning Oct. 13.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆,” she tweeted.

Swift, 33, told her legion of fans that, much like seeing her performance in person, “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing” will be “encouraged” at cinemas.

The two-hour, 45-minute concert film, titled “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour,” will play at least four times a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at every AMC location in the US in addition to other movie theater chains, according to a press release.

AMC said all adult tickets will be priced at $19.89 to celebrate the pop superstar’s forthcoming “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” album. Stubs for children and seniors will be $13.13 in honor of her favorite number.

When tickets for the career-spanning Eras Tour first went on sale in November 2022, countless fans lost out on a chance to see Swift live due to an unprecedented Ticketmaster blunder.

The “Style” singer spoke out at the time, saying her team had asked Ticketmaster “multiple times if they could handle this type of demand” and that the company had “assured” them it could.

“It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them,” she added.

As a result, AMC is trying to avoid its own fiasco.

“In anticipation of this announcement, AMC has upgraded its website and ticketing engines to handle more than five times the largest influx of ticket-buying traffic the company has ever experienced before,” the chain said in Thursday’s press release, which warned of “delays, longer-than-usual ticket-purchase waiting-room times and possible outages.”
