Jessica Simpson slammed for letting 11-year-old daughter, Maxwell, wear crop top

Oh, crop!

Jessica Simpson was mercilessly dragged for allowing her 11-year-old daughter, Maxwell, to wear a crop top.

In photos shared via Instagram Friday, the “Irresistible” singer wore a pink mini dress as she posed beside her tween, who was dressed in a long denim maxi skirt with a matching corset-style belly shirt.

“Bring your Barbie to work day 💗,” Simpson, 43, captioned the mother-daughter snaps.

The clothing designer was quickly smacked with a barrage of comments roasting her for permitting her daughter to wear the midriff-bearing tank.

“Isn’t she like 11 or something?? Stop sexualizing your little girl,” one person slammed in the comments section.

“If you would ask me I would have guessed her age to be 13 14 by the way she was dressed and looked,” a second person wrote. “We try to age faster than we need to. We all try to look older when we were younger. It’s up to the parents to make sure that we dress appropriately for our age. Beautiful girl beautiful mother.”

“Who lets their 11 year old child out of the house dressed like that??” a third questioned, adding, “Too busy trying to be her minor daughter’s best friend instead of being a responsible parent.

“After years of denouncing how she was oversexualized as a young adult and the scrutiny she faced, she’s now making sure her daughter will have the same experience, instead of protecting her from it. Shameful and incredibly sad. Poor Maxwell.”

“Isn’t she like 11 or something?? Stop sexualizing your little girl,” one troll commented on Simpson’s post. jessicasimpson/Instagram

“Why in the hell would you let your child dress like that is beyond me!!!” another exclaimed.

Others, however, defended Maxwell’s fashion choice and called out the haters for judging Simpson’s parenting decisions.

“The irony of everyone in the comments accusing her of ‘sexualizing’ her daughter by allowing her to wear whatever the f–k she wants, when y’all are doing the exact same thing to an 11 y.o girl on the internet whom you don’t even know lmaooo 🤡,” a fan commented. “@jessicasimpson you look stunning!!!

Another agreed, writing, “Sooo cute ! (PS, if you sexualize an 11 year old for what she is wearing, you are part of the problem.)”

“So many Karens here geez! No 11 year old looks like an 11 yr old today. We’re not in the Brady Bunch years anymore, she looks fine. She’s w her momma!” a defender added.

Simpson shares Maxwell with husband Eric Johnson. She and the 43-year-old NFL star also share son Ace Knute, 10, and daughter Birdie Mae, 4.

The “Dukes of Hazzard” actress recently made headlines for slamming her own body-shamers.

“We need to focus on our mentality about even talking about weight,” Simpson told Access Hollywood during an interview last week. “I think it just doesn’t need to be a conversation.”

Simpson also admitted that her children were confused by the tough scrutiny she receives from the public about her weight.

“I tell my kids, ‘How you feel about yourself is how you should feel,’” she said. “It’s not about … you don’t dress for anybody else. You don’t try to look like anybody else.”

The pop star was accused of using the weight loss drug Ozempic after she was seen with a significantly slimmed-down figure, though she shut down the accusations earlier this month.

“Do people want me to be drinking again?” Simpson, who is now sober, asked in an interview with Bustle. “Because that’s when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can’t do it.”

Last year, Simpson shared that she was able to transform her body after getting a nutritionist who helped her change her eating habits.

A year prior, the “Open Book” author shared that she threw out her scale after fluctuating with her weight and struggling with body image issues for years.
