Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes go Instagram-official in meaningful first posts since affair bombshell
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are making things Instagram-official!
The controversial couple — whose months-long affair made headlines in November 2022 — shared the same black-and-white photo of their matching running shoes to their respective accounts Monday morning.
Both Holmes, 46, and Robach, 50 — who turned their comments off — simply captioned the posts, “#nycmarathon2023 🏃🏾♂️🏃♀️”.
This is the first time the journalists have posted to Instagram since reactivating their accounts amid backlash over their affair.
To refresh, their dalliance began in March 2022 after the former “Good Morning America 3” anchors started training together for the New York City Half Marathon.
In fact, at the time Robach boasted to us about getting Holmes into running in the first place.
“I’m not sure we technically decided to run together,” Robach, the more experienced runner of the pair, told us.
“I pretty much announced to everyone that T.J. was going to run the half-marathon with me, and then publicly pressured him to join … and it worked!” she added.
Around the same time, the “GMA 3” co-anchors talked about their training regime in a sexually charged TikTok that went viral following news of their affair.
In the clip, Holmes explained that he ran behind Robach because she was the “pacer” between the two of them.
“But we’re going to both be finishers,” Robach joked. “That’s what counts.”
The seeming sexual innuendo caught Holmes off-guard as his eyes widened and he sat up to adjust himself before Robach gave him a flirty shove.
Since then, they have run numerous half-marathons and are gearing up to run their second full marathon.
After photos of them holding hands during a romantic getaway surfaced, which exposed their affair, the former co-anchors lost their high-profile gigs at ABC.
At the time, Robach and Holmes were married to different people. Since then, they have split from their respective partners to pursue a relationship with one another.

Robach — who shares two daughters with her first husband, Tim McIntosh — quietly settled her divorce from “Melrose Place” alum Andrew Shue in March.
Meanwhile, Holmes’ wife Marilee Fiebig, with whom he shares a 10-year-old daughter, filed for divorce in December 2022 but they have yet to finalize things. The former CNN correspondent also shares two children with ex-wife Amy Ferson.
Despite both of them coming out of long-term relationships, Robach and Holmes are reportedly ready to take things to the next level.
“They’re in a good place,” an insider told Us Weekly earlier this month. “They’re moving on from all the negative around the affair and looking toward the future together.”
“Now the plan is they do want to move in together and get engaged,” they added.
