Tori Spelling is teaching her kids a ‘lesson’ with RV stay amid Dean McDermott split, friend says

Tori Spelling is staying far away from 90210 for a reason.

A friend of the actress believes she left “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star Josh Flagg’s $9 million mansion to live in a modest RV so that her five children understand life isn’t always glitz and glamour.

“I think her saying no to Josh is just saying, ‘Thank you, I appreciate it, but I’m good,'” Barstool Sports personality Joey Camasta tells Page Six exclusively.

“‘I’m gonna teach my kids this lesson of resilience and show them that Mommy was raised with the money, and it didn’t get me where it should be. I want to teach you kids that working hard and doing what it takes to take care of your family and stay together is ultimately what’s important.'”

Camasta, who met Spelling in 2021 while working as a makeup artist on her MTV show “Messyness,” continues, “I think it’s a lesson that she’s teaching herself and to her children that … when life gives you something, you’re going to start from the bottom and work your way back up.”

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum, 50, has been staying in humble abodes for over a month due to an “extreme” mold infestation in her rental home — and her split from her husband, Dean McDermott.

After spending just six days at Flagg’s sprawling Bel Air, Calif., mansion, Spelling and her kids, Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10 and Beau, 6, were spotted at a $100-a-night motel in July.

Weeks later, the family relocated to a trailer park in Ventura County, Calif., where they were photographed setting up a cooler, camping stove and folding table outside their RV before hitting a nearby beach.

Spelling defended her dicey living situation last month, telling a paparazzo that she “would do whatever” for the well-being of her children.

“I think she’s fed up [to] the point of being f–ked with her whole life that now she’s ready to take her life back and do it on her own terms,” Camasta, who co-hosts the “Out & About” podcast, tells us.

Earlier this month, the “Stori Telling” author’s once-estranged mother, Candy Spelling, came under fire on social media for seemingly not helping her daughter in a time of need as she had publicly promised.

However, a source later told Page Six exclusively that Candy — who inherited a reported $600 million when her husband, legendary producer Aaron Spelling, died in 2006 — had “spent hours on the phone trying to find” a house for Tori, only for the “Scary Movie 2” star to turn down the offer.

In the midst of her financial struggles, Tori is also navigating her separation from McDermott.

The former “Chopped Canada” host, 56, revealed in June that the longtime couple had decided to “start a new journey” as co-parents after two years of divorce rumors.

“We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Thank you all for your support and kindness.”
