Todd Chrisley’s prison experience so far has not been quite as he had hoped as his attorney alleges the reality star has been mistreated over his “celebrity status.”

The “Chrisley Knows Best” star has been holed up at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola since January after being sentenced to 12 years in federal custody for fraud and tax evasion.

He will also serve 16 months on probation once he is released from prison.

Chrisley’s attorney, Jay Surgent, told TMZ that the star believes he is being photographed while sleeping.

Chrisley claims that he hasn’t been receiving any mail because someone is destroying it, according to the outlet.

Surgent also added that Chrisley’s living conditions are “terrible,” with the prison being “plagued by bad plumbing. possible mold, and no A.C.” his lawyer claimed.

He claims that his wife, Julie Chrisley, is dealing with similar conditions over at The Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

She will be spending the next six and a half years serving time there.

Once released, she will also serve 16 months of probation.

In a desperate bid to overcome the hardships, Surgent told the outlet that Todd has filed an application asking to be moved to home confinement.

Todd’s claims come just months after his eldest daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, claimed in April that he had made “great friends” in prison.

My last visit with my dad, I couldn’t stop telling him how great that he looked,” the 33-year-old told prison consultant Justin Paperny, who advised Todd and his wife Julie Chrisley.

“He looks very very good. I told him, I said, ‘Even your hair looks better, a little bit longer and a little bit grayer.’ His nails aren’t completely bitten off,” said Lindsie, whom Todd shares with ex-wife Teresa Terry.

When quizzed on her dad’s mental well-being, Lindsie said her father is “in such a better place.”

“His spirits are great,” she explained. “He is really just embracing the process there and making the best of the process there with the people that are also there serving time with him.”

“He’s made great friends. He talks about his friends there,” she added.
