Ethan Slater makes Instagram private amid Ariana Grande romance
Ethan Slater quickly made his Instagram account private amid his new romance with Ariana Grande.
After news broke Thursday that the Broadway star is dating the “7 Rings” singer, he locked his social media account so that only his more than 84,000 followers could see his posts.
Multiple sources confirmed to Page Six that the “SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!” star, 31, started seeing Grande, 30, after they met on the set of the movie “Wicked.”
In March, the cast of the Jon M. Chu adaptation went out to celebrate Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar win in London.
In a picture from the group outing, Grande sat close to Slater as he wrapped his arm around her.
Just days before Grande and Slater’s romance surfaced, news broke that the two-time Grammy winner was divorcing her husband. Dalton Gomez, after two years of marriage.
A source close to the estranged couple — who secretly wed in May 2021 at her Montecito, Calif., home — told Page Six that they have been separated since January — but have remained amicable.
“They came to the decision together,” one insider shared. “They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”
The real estate agent, 27, visited Grande on the set of “Wicked” in London as a last-minute attempt to save their marriage, but “it didn’t work out,” the source told us.

“They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them.”
Though Gomez was reportedly “devastated” by the split, he has also moved on.
TMZ reported that he has been dating other people for “months” following his split with the “Positions” songstress.
Meanwhile, Slater is currently separated from his wife, Lilly Jay.
The pair tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed a son together last year.
While not much is known about their relationship, he recently gushed over his “wonderful” wife in a sweet tribute for Mother’s Day.
“Happy first Mother’s Day to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world,” Slater captioned the Instagram post in May, which featured the shadow of their son. “- from me and this little guy.”
Reps for both Grande and Slater didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
