Wyclef Jean has dance battle, woman takes off swimsuit at Surf Lodge
When Wyclef Jean rocked the Surf Lodge in Montauk — and had a dance battle with a fan — the crowd got so hyped up that one woman slipped off her bathing suit bottoms to twirl them in the air.
“I play 14 instruments. I have been playing since I was 9-years old. I’m the real genius, not Kanye West,” Wyclef told the crowd.
The hitmaker played favorites like “Guantanamera” and “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill),” as well as the Fugees’ hit “Killing Me Softly,” with a shoutout to former bandmate Lauryn Hill.
At one point a little person got on the stage to have a wild dance battle with the singer.
Wyclef did a handstand and somersault, which elicited bows from his fleet-footed competitor.
During the show, the singer encouraged the crowd to take off their jackets — and more — to twirl in the air.
One woman took the suggestion seriously by taking off her white swim bottoms and waving them around.
Along with his own jams, Wyclef also got the crowd singing along to covers of tunes by Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Montell Jordan and Cyndi Lauper.
A man with a sign described the scene best, holding up a white board that read, “Call 911. Wyclef is killin’ it.”
Also over the weekend at the hotspot, St. Lucia played and TikTok star Alix Earle and her boyfriend, NFL player Braxton Berrios were spotted in the crowd.
