Rihanna attends A$AP Rocky concert as ‘desperate’ fans try to paddle their way in on rafts
Come hell or high water, fans were determined to see the Foo Fighters and A$AP Rocky in concert during the 2023 Cannes Lions Festival.
“Desperate” fans attempted to paddle their way to the exclusive Spotify Beach performances on Wednesday night as Rihanna enjoyed the show from a VIP section.
Video footage obtained by Page Six shows two groups of people using oars to assist their unmotorized vessels — only to remain floating in the Cannes harbor with limited views.
“People were so desperate they literally tried to float their way into the concerts,” a spy tells Page Six.
Unfortunately, the high seas were as far as they got.
The desperation didn’t end at the shoreline as hundreds — if not thousands — of people lined up along the Croisette to watch the famed artists light up the beach.

“This is actual mayhem,” another insider tells Page Six. “I couldn’t even walk through without shoving everyone, and I wasn’t even trying to watch!”
Spotify employees at the entrance also appeared overwhelmed with the amount of people trying to finagle their way inside to no avail.
Those lucky enough to be granted access not only saw epic concerts but also caught a glimpse of heavily pregnant Rihanna supporting her rapper beau.
The “Diamonds” singer wore a sheer dress for her night on the French Riviera, beaming as Rocky gave his “beautiful wife” a shout-out from the stage.
The longtime couple, who are expecting their second child, also made an appearance at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris earlier in the week.
Fans have speculated about their marriage status before, with Rihanna poking fun at rumors on Twitter after attending the Met Gala in May.
“shout outz 2 the bridal party….here come de bride,” the Grammy winner captioned photos in her white Valentino gown at the time.
