Hilaria Baldwin blasts ‘cruel’ backlash after Amy Schumer’s ‘sociopath’ dig

Hilaria Baldwin hit back at haters after Amy Schumer called her a “sociopath” and slammed her “von Trapp family.”

In a Romper interview published Wednesday, the former yoga instructor said that it is “a ridiculous thing to be cruel to another person.”

The 39-year-old’s comment came on the heels of Schumer’s “Emergency Contact” special bashing both Hilaria and her husband, Alec Baldwin.

“Her husband shot someone … Don’t look down the barrel of Alec Baldwin’s shotgun,” the comedian, 42, said, referencing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins‘ 2021 death on the “Rust” set.

Schumer slammed the family prior to the Netflix special, calling Hilaria “insane” when she made headlines for allegedly faking her Spanish heritage.

The “Trainwreck” star also used a photo of Hilaria in her underwear as her own fake holiday card.

At the time, the fitness guru accused Schumer of “getting into a place of body-shaming her.”

In a since-deleted Instagram video, Hilaria said, “Sometimes we put down people’s shape. That might be that you think the person is too thin. … But if you’re doing body inclusivity, that’s body inclusivity for all.”

As for backlash about the size of her family, Hilaria didn’t deny on Wednesday that she and Alec, 65, may keep expanding despite “most definitely” feeling done.

“I feel awful when I’m on birth control,” the “Living Clearly Method” author told the outlet, clarifying that she does not take the medication. “It makes me depressed.”

She noted that Alec, who is also the father of daughter Ireland, 27, with ex-wife Kim Basinger, is not interested in getting a vasectomy.

“Every single time I have a baby, my OB writes down the vasectomy doctor on a Post-it, and I bring it home to Alec,” Hilaria said laughing. “He hasn’t done it yet.”

The podcaster admitted that she “love[s] giving birth” and welcomed her youngest child after one minute of pushing.

“Giving birth is like going down a water slide that’s really scary,” Hilaria explained. “And then you get to the bottom, and you’re like, ‘I want to do this again.’”

With seven little ones at home, she and the actor have been “outnumbered” for years and embrace the “chaos.”

Hilaria said, “I’m probably, like, 90% gentle parenting. Though every once in a while, you have to say: ‘Stop it. Full stop. Right now.’ Do we raise our voices? Sure. It happens.”
