Kim Cattrall, 66, is ‘all about battling aging’ with Botox, fillers: ‘Whatever I can do’
Kim Cattrall’s no longer saying “no” to a nip and tuck.
In the wake of the announcement that she’ll briefly reprise her role as Samantha Jones on “And Just Like That,” the “Sex and the City” star spoke with the Sunday Times about fashion, her family and her evolving approach to aging in the public eye.
“I’m in my 60s now and I’m all about battling aging in every way I can,” Cattrall, 66, told the outlet.
“There are so many other alternatives now, treatments that stimulate your own body to fight aging. There are fillers, Botox, there’s so many different things that you can investigate and try and see if it’s for you.”
Cattrall noted that this avenue only works “if you have the money and, more importantly, the right surgeon,” adding, “It can’t be emphasized enough. You want to look like you!”
It’s a U-turn from her prior stance on the subject; in 2011, the blond beauty told the Daily Mail she “[wanted] to embrace aging because I think that’s what’s interesting.”
“I look at people like Judi Dench, who’s in her 70s, and I think, ‘What the hell am I frightened of?'” she said at the time. “I think a forehead without any lines doesn’t tell me they’ve lived a life.”
Now, Cattrall — who’s also gearing up to play a makeup mogul in Netflix’s “Glamorous,” for which she’ll reunite with “SATC” costume designer and close friend Patricia Field — says she “[wants] to look like the best version” of herself.
“So, whatever I can do — because thankfully I have funds to do so,” the “Mannequin” star continued.
“It’s not just a vanity thing. I play a certain kind of woman who looks a certain kind of way. And professionally I am looking after myself.”
While “And Just Like That” cast additions Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita Choudhury have said they felt “sexy and empowered” portraying successful 50-somethings on the show, multiple members of the original “SATC” cast have hit back at cruel comments regarding their older appearances.
“There’s so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man,” Sarah Jessica Parker told Vogue in her December 2021 cover shoot for the magazine. “’Gray hair, gray hair, gray hair. Does she have gray hair?’”

Added Parker at the time, “I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”
Co-star Kristin Davis, meanwhile, has said the intense scrutiny over the cast’s faces was “a shock.”
“It can be extremely stressful to be aging and to be compared to your much, much, much younger self,” Davis, 58, told NewBeauty in 2022.
“I like to think there’s more to life than how we look, but it’s unavoidable in our culture that, as you age — especially as a woman — that how you look is a lot. It’s a whole, bigger cultural conversation we need to have, but, right now, it’s hard.”
