Rihanna hinted at baby RZA’s name for months with her outfits
Ooh na na, that’s his name.
Rihanna and boyfriend A$AP Rocky have reportedly named their son RZA Athelston Mayers, according to the Daily Mail.
The moniker is seemingly a nod to rapper and Wu-Tang Clan frontman RZA.
But fans of the “Diamonds” singer’s style might’ve guessed her baby’s name early, as she had been teasing it for months with her fashion choices.
In April, Rihanna dined at her favorite restaurant, celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, clad in a ’90s Wu-Tang jersey and sheer Saint Laurent skirt.
But the hints date back further than that; last August, the Grammy winner stepped out in New York City wearing a vintage RZA “Birth of a Prince” T-shirt.
“Makes since [sic] now,” one fan commented on @rihannastyleguide’s Instagram post of the latter look after baby RZA’s name was revealed Wednesday, calling the sartorial Easter egg “iconic.”
Another correctly guessed the little one’s moniker weeks ago, having commented on the same account’s photo of Rihanna in her Wu-Tang jersey, “I’m more than convinced that his name is really RZA.”
