Princess Eugenie praised for including Prince Harry in coronation post

Princess Eugenie was praised for including her cousin Prince Harry in an Instagram post about King Charles III’s coronation amid his drama with the monarchy.

Eugenie — the youngest daughter of disgraced Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson — shared a slideshow of snaps from Charles’ coronation on Saturday including photos where she was seen at the ceremony with the Duke of Sussex.

“Yesterday meant so much to me, as I’m sure it did to so many watching. What a magical celebration for The King, The Queen, our country, and the Commonwealth,” Eugenie, 33, captioned the post on Sunday.

Fans praised Eugenie for showing kindness to Harry, 38, despite his tensions with royal family members including his dad Charles, 74, and his brother Prince William, 40.

“I’m pleased you included Harry in the photos you picked,” one person commented on the post.

“Thank you for featuring a few photos that included Prince Harry. It appears The Firm is attempting to erase him from the narrative. You are to be commended for not following suit,” a second person wrote.

“Thank you for showing Prince Harry in your photos. He’s been iced out for the most part, so it’s nice to see your support,” a third wrote.

“So lovely that Harry had you and Jack to welcome him and sit with him,” another agreed.

“You are the best [for] showing your love and support to Prince Harry’s family, don’t forget them, they are your family and they deserve it,” a netizen added.

Eugenie and sister Princess Beatrice, 34, entered the service at Westminster Abbey with their respective husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The foursome was notably joined by Harry, who attended stag while wife Meghan Markle stayed home with their children.

After much speculation on whether or not Harry would attend his estranged father’s coronation ceremony, Buckingham Palace confirmed that he would indeed be there for the big day.

However, Markle, 41, skipped out on the service and stayed home in Montecito, Calif., with their two kids — Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 1 — to celebrate their son’s birthday, which fell on the same day as Saturday’s coronation.

All eyes were on Harry as he attended the coronation, though he seemed chipper and chatty despite being relegated to the third row.

The red-headed royal was not given an official role at the ceremony as he and Markle gave up their royal duties in 2020. For the same reason, he did not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside his family members that are working royals after Charles and Queen Camilla, 75, were coronated.

Following the coronation, Harry immediately booked it back to the US to reunite with his family and celebrate Archie’s birthday. On Sunday, he seemed to have a low-key day while Markle spent the day hiking with friends.

While Harry has tarnished his relationship with Charles and William, having dug into both in his controversial memoir “Spare,” he has remained close with Eugenie and Beatrice. Their mom, Ferguson, was not invited to the ceremony having been divorced from Andrew since 1996.

He was not seen directly interacting with Charles or the Prince of Wales during his public appearance at the coronation. Though William and wife Kate Middleton, 41, seemed to have their hands full, participating in the coronation with their three spotlight-stealing kids: Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
