Aaron Carter had 2 suspicious people in home at time of death, ex-rep claims

Warning: Graphic image ahead.

Aaron Carter’s former publicist has joined the chorus of people in the late singer’s inner circle who are questioning his cause of death.

“We are glad this case is finally closed so we can have a celebration of life and send him off to rest,” Kelly K, who represented Carter up until his death on Nov. 5, 2022, tells Page Six exclusively.

“However, we know two people were at his house leading up to his death and are puzzled as to why those two haven’t been properly identified and/or investigated.”

Page Six has reached out to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department — which conducted the investigation into the 34-year-old’s death — but did not immediately hear back.

However, the department previously denied that there was any “foul play” involved, telling Rolling Stone on March 2, “Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the death of Aaron Carter.

“To date, there has been no evidence of foul play found during the investigation. The results of Mr. Carter’s autopsy are still pending. The investigation remains ongoing.”

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s report, released Tuesday, stated that Carter died from drowning and the effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas that is often used as the propellant in cans of compressed air, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax.

The “I Want Candy” singer had been open about his addiction to huffing prior to his death.

Police reportedly found multiple cans of compressed air in his bathroom at the time of his death, which would substantiate the autopsy report’s findings.

However, Carter’s ex-fiancée Melanie Martin is not convinced that other people were not involved in the “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” singer’s death.

She specifically questioned the claim that Carter had drowned, pointing out in a statement to TMZ Tuesday, “He was wearing a T-shirt and necklace in the bathtub, which doesn’t make sense. Why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on? I don’t understand the chain of events.”

The former child star’s mother, Jane Carter, also previously called for an investigation into her son’s death and shared graphic images of the scene in order to garner more attention to it.

“They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past,” she said via Facebook in March before alleging, “Aaron had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable.”

Two of Aaron’s friends also claimed that the “That’s How I Beat Shaq” singer was afraid that people were after him.

“He would always be paranoid about people being after him or [that] somebody is after him,” Bryan Cassidy, who was a close pal in the last three years of Aaron’s life, previously told Page Six.

Morgan Matthews, the performer’s former manager, also claimed his former client once told him, “‘There are people after me, I need help, I need to get out of this town.'”

Since police have not concluded that there was foul play, no suspects have been named.

Page Six asked Aaron’s former publicist whether she knew the identities of the two people in the singer’s home.

“We have no idea who the two unidentified men were that were seen just prior to the death walking out of Aaron’s home,” Kelly K says. “The neighbor was a witness. That was the police investigation’s job.”

It has been reported that at least one of the people in Aaron’s home was his housekeeper, who placed a frantic call to 911 to report his death. She was reportedly a homeless woman whom the “House of Carter” alum took in just weeks before his death.

However, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s report, Aaron’s manner of death was ruled accidental.

Despite all the doubt, Aaron’s former publicist recognizes her client had substance abuse issues and claims their team did all they could to help.

Kelly K concludes, “Our team actively tried to implement a plan to rehabilitate a recovery to health; however, due to outside influences and triggering dysfunctional relationships, these circumstances made it a challenge.”
