James Corden ‘most difficult’ and ‘obnoxious’ presenter, TV director claims

James Corden is the “most difficult” and “obnoxious” presenter in television, according to a director.

Craig Duncan — who worked with the “Late Late Show” host in 2013 on the set of the competition series “A League of Their Own” — had been tasked with directing Corden as well as other comics in a challenge outside of the studio.

“It came to a point where he had to read from a card,” Duncan recalled in a YouTube video.

“[There was] kind of a joke in there, and he just looked at it like, ‘That’s not funny, that’s not funny. It’s s–t. We have to rewrite that.'”

Duncan dismissed Corden’s behavior as a result of a bad day, but the British actor’s attitude allegedly persisted when the crew needed just five minutes to film the shot.

“We were working it out when old bugger-lugs pipes up,” he claimed. “[He said,] ‘What the f–k is going on here? It’s obvious what you do. It’s so obvious how you shoot it, you’re stupid.’

“And I’m like, ‘He’s absolutely right guys, let’s do that, that’s the best thing to do… We know what we’re doing, right?'”

Despite making it clear the group needed just five minutes, Duncan claimed Corden showed up 45 minutes late.

“It was Season 7, Episode 3, and I’ll never forget it,” Duncan said.

Corden’s reps didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Rumors of Corden’s behavior first began last year when restauranteur Keith McNally blasted him as “abusive” after the British talk show host made a scene at his restaurant Balthazar.

After the kitchen had made an error on Corden’s wife’s meal, McNally claimed on Instagram, “That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!’”

Corden, 44, later said it was “beneath” him to care about the drama because he “did nothing wrong.” After facing even more blowback, the “Gavin & Stacey” alum eventually apologized.

“Because I didn’t shout or scream — like I didn’t get up out of my seat, I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language — I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right?” Corden said on his show. “But the truth is I have.

“I made a rude comment,” he continued. “And it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server.”

Just when Corden thought his reputation had been mended, former Spice Girls member Mel B came forward and called him the “biggest d–khead in Hollywood.”

“I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with — whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting,” she explained.

“We all work for the same thing, so you should always be nice, and he hasn’t been very nice.”
