Brooke Shields: I refused to sleep with ‘less than chivalrous’ JFK Jr. on date
Brooke Shields believes John F. Kennedy Jr. showed his “true colors” after she declined his sexual advances on their first — and only — date.
After getting the “best kiss [she’s] ever had in [her] life” from President John F. Kennedy’s son after a “real date” in Aspen, Colo., the actress “froze” at the possibility of sex, she told “The Howard Stern Show” listeners on Tuesday.
Shields, who was a virgin at the time, didn’t think she could “handle” the attorney possibly not speaking to her after doing the deed.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re falling in love and if you sleep with him, he may not talk to you again,'” the 57-year-old recalled.
“I wasn’t playing a game, I really was just so afraid of being really hurt,” the model continued. “Because if I slept with him, I would have given him my entire universe, my heart, my everything.”
The “Pretty Baby” star went on to note that she had been “madly in love with him since” age 3.
“My mom, [Teri Shields], would say, ‘That’s the boy you’re going to marry,'” Brooke claimed.
When Shields declined Kennedy Jr.’s sexual advances because she “kind of loved him too much,” she was left to find her own way back to the ski chalet.
“I had to get a cab home, which was a little less chivalrous, in my opinion,” she said.

The following day, the “Endless Love” actress decided she had made the right decision after Kennedy Jr. ignored her on the slopes.
“He didn’t look at me and he didn’t talk to me,” she alleged. “On the one hand, I was like, ‘S–t.’ On the other hand, I was like, ‘Oh, thank God, because he still might not have talked to you [if you had sex with him].'”
Shields concluded, “He showed his true colors in that.”
Kennedy Jr. went on to wed publicist Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in 1996, three years before they died in a plane crash.
Shields, for her part, dated several men in Hollywood, including actor Liam Neeson and tennis pro Andre Agassi.
She was married to the latter for two years.
In 2001, she and producer Chris Henchy tied the knot. The couple share daughters Rowan, 19, and Grier, 16.
