Al Roker and Hoda Kotb have ‘Lady and the Tramp’ moment on ‘Today’ show

How sweet.

Al Roker and Hoda Kotb had a “Lady and the Tramp” moment on the “Today” show when they shared a PayDay candy bar.

Roker, who admitted that the unwrapped candy bar didn’t look so appealing to him despite being his favorite snack, asked Twitter users if they wanted to watch him take a bite out of the sweet treat on Wednesday’s episode of the NBC show.

Viewers flocked to social media and voted for Roker to eat the candy bar on live TV.

“We heard y’all: Al is eating the PayDay — and sharing it with @hodakotb 😂,” the “Today” show tweeted.

Roker accepted the challenge and then turned to Kotb, asking, “Here, would you help me?” to which she obliged.

“Kind of a ‘Lady and the Tramp’ [moment],” Roker joked while holding the PayDay bar up for him and his co-star.

That’s when Roker, 68, and Kotb, 58, proceeded to bite into separate ends of the peanut-y dessert.

“Mmmmm,” they both said, while their co-star Craig Melvin joked, “And there’s the meme, there’s the meme.”

Earlier in the segment, NBC correspondent Sam Brock explained how Americans are snacking more than ever with rates significantly rising during the pandemic.

Kotb then revealed that her favorite snack is Ruffles chips with “a lot” of French onion dip.

Meanwhile, Roker opted for the caramel-covered candy bar: a surprising choice considering his strict Keto diet plan.

Roker has battled other health concerns aside from his weight struggles and was hospitalized for blood clot complications in November 2022. Roker was released from the hospital in time for Thanksgiving but had to be rushed back to the hospital days later.

He recovered after two months and made his in-person return to the show in January when he detailed the life-threatening medical scare.

Doctors discovered that he had two bleeding ulcers and resectioned his colon, removed his gallbladder and redid his duodenum in his small intestine.

Roker joked that he “went in for one operation [and] got four free.”

Meanwhile, Kodb also had to take some time off from “Today With Hoda & Jenna” this month when her 3-year-old daughter Hope was hospitalized after falling ill.

This month, Kotb returned to the show and shared that her youngest daughter was home and on the mend.

“I’m so grateful she’s home,” Kotb said at the time. “She is back home. I was waiting for that day to come, and we are watching her closely. I’m just so happy.”

Kotb shares daughters Hope and Haley, 6, with her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman.
