Hailey Bieber trolled after posting PDA-filled pics for Justin Bieber’s birthday
Hailey Bieber was savagely trolled by Selena Gomez fans after posting several PDA-filled photos with Justin Bieber to celebrate his 29th birthday on Wednesday.
“29 never looked so good ☺️Happy Birthday to you best friend!” Hailey, 26, captioned a series of snaps with her husband where the duo looked all loved-up.
“Words couldn’t possibly sum up all that you embody. So here’s to more joy, more travel, yummy food, adventures, more peace, fun, and most of all more love. ✨”
While some of her Instagram followers sent sweet birthday wishes to the “Yummy” singer, several trolls flocked to the comments section to drag the model amid her online drama with Gomez, who used to date Justin.
“#TeamSelena,” one person commented, claiming, “You were definitely the rebound.”
“Oh s–t, forgot to unfollow you 🤣,” a second person joked, referencing how Hailey lost nearly a million followers amid the drama.
“SHE SAID MY MAN MY MAN MY MAN,” a third person commented, with a fourth writing, “She posts this for him, yet he didn’t even speak out publicly to defend her.”
Meanwhile, a netizen jabbed, “I guess side chicks do win sometimes,” while others wrote things like, “Bold move to turn the comments on” and “the tea is so loud in here.”
Other critics claimed that Hailey should be focused on helping Justin after he canceled his remaining “Justice World Tour” dates following health concerns on Wednesday.
Despite the ongoing drama in both of their lives, Hailey was spotted looking chipper as she vacationed with friends in Cabo San Lucas.
The long-running feud between Hailey and Gomez, 30, has boiled over within the past few weeks. It all started when the Rhode Skin founder appeared to bully the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer online.
Last month, Hailey posted and then deleted a video where she, Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye mouthed the audio, “I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right.”
TikTok users surmised that Hailey was referring to Gomez, who, at the time, had just responded to being fat-shamed.
Hailey denied that the TikTok was about Gomez. However, the next month the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum seemed to suggest that she believed the video was indeed targeting her.
But the shade didn’t stop there. Instagram users accused Hailey and her pal Kylie Jenner of making fun of Gomez’s eyebrows after the singer laminated them “too much.”
Kylie denied that she had gone after Gomez, who also agreed that she had no beef with the lip kit queen. Days later, Gomez defended her good friend Taylor Swift after a video resurfaced of Hailey shading the “Bad Blood” singer.
Amid the online back-and-forth, Gomez announced that she would be taking a break from Instagram just as she surpassed Kylie in becoming the most-followed woman on the platform.
The beef between the two celebrities dates back to 2018 when Hailey Bieber got engaged to Justin just months after he ended his relationship with Gomez, whom he dated on and off for eight years, for good.
Last September, Hailey went on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast to deny that she stole Justin from Gomez, claiming that there was no feud between her and the pop star.
“It’s all respect. It’s all love,” Hailey said, adding that she and Gomez have talked and that there is no drama.
The next month, the Rare Beauty founder and Hailey appeared to have buried the hatchet when they posed for photos together at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ second annual gala.
However, judging by their exchange of online barbs, it seems the feud is back on.
For her part, Selena has been romantically linked with a few A-listers since moving on from Justin. She was most recently spotted on a PDA-packed date with Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers. Gomez confirmed her single status in January.
