Jennifer Coolidge’s drag doppelgänger steals the show at Milan Fashion Week
Will the real Jennifer Coolidge please stand up?
The “White Lotus” actress, 61, seemed to defy the space-time continuum as she walked the red carpet at the Diesel show in Milan yesterday and attended the Los Angeles premiere of “We Have a Ghost” at the same time — but in reality, fans were seeing double.
While attendees at Milan Fashion Week thought the “Legally Blonde” star was in their midst, it turned out to be drag queen Alexis Stone, who is known for dramatic lifelike transformations.
The faux Coolidge strutted the red carpet in a head-to-toe denim look, wearing baggy cargo jeans and a cropped denim jacket with shiny silver detail, adding a matching top underneath and a denim handbag.
Stone even made her way to a front row seat at the Fashion Week show, sitting next to Coolidge’s “White Lotus” co-star, Haley Richardson — apparently fooling the 27 year old actress, who posed with the artist.
The British entertainer shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes Instagram Reel and a longer YouTube video showing the arduous process turning into the actress with the help of custom prosthetics, makeup and a wig.
The similarity to the Golden Globe winner was so believable that Stone wrote in one Instagram caption, “most news outlets thought I was in fact Jennifer, such a moment.”
Fans also couldn’t believe the makeup wizardry, like one who wrote, “I feel like you are the Banksy of the Makeup world. You are in all your artistic form and most people wouldn’t even know if it was you or not! Iconic.”
“I bet your mouth is so sore from saying wow all night lol” another commented, while a third fan said, “Patiently waiting for Madonna to rip off her face and reveal it’s you.”
While Stone rocked denim at the Diesel show, the real Coolidge was thousands of miles away (and in quite a different ensemble) at the premiere of Netflix’s “We Have a Ghost.”
Glittering in a green sequin gown by Needle & Thread ($1,369), the buzzy actress looked glamorous as she walked the red carpet in a more on-brand outfit, wearing her hair in long, loose waves.
While Coolidge — who recently starred in a hilarious Super Bowl 2023 ad — has yet to comment on Stone’s performance, we have a feeling even she might have been fooled.
