Now this is what you call a modern family.

Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr proved “ex-wives and new wives” can be friends when they walked the red carpet together at the 20th annual G’Day USA Arts Gala in Los Angeles.

The “California Girls” singer – who is engaged to the supermodel’s ex-husband, Orlando Bloom – stunned in a gold ensemble by Australian brand Zimmerman on Saturday night.

Perry’s look consisted of a metallic bra top and a matching ballgown-style skirt. The singer, 38, completed her getup with gold bracelets, gold drop earrings and a glamorous updo.

Meanwhile, Kerr, 39, opted for a white strapless cocktail dress. The former Victoria’s Secret angel accessorized with glittering silver earrings and silver pumps, styling her brunette tresses in classic, bouncy curls.

Kerr was the recipient of the Excellence in the Arts award, and was playfully introduced by her ex’s new partner.

“Some of you might be confused about why I’m introducing Miranda. That doesn’t play into the antiquated narrative of ex-wives and new wives,” Perry began.

“And yes, it’s true, most of the media would like to see us mud wrestle, including [her husband] Evan [Spiegel], but we are here to lead by love because Miranda is love. And as a lot of you know, love comes in many family iterations.”

Perry – who shares daughter Daisy Dove, 2, with Bloom, 46 – said she is “proud to be family with a woman who is living her truth every day with grace and beauty.”

She joked that Kerr, who is mom to sons Flynn, 12, Hart, 4, and Myles, 3, is “dedicated to her three beautiful boys, her partner and that smoking hot bod.”

“I’m so grateful for our modern blended family. It’s like I gained another sister, one with whom I usually sidebar from the main family chat and agree with,” the “Firework” singer concluded.

Kerr took to Instagram after the event, writing, “Such an honour to be recognized by the @_aaausa for excellence in the arts … And a big thank you to @katyperry for her kind and heartfelt words 🇦🇺❤️🥰.”

Perry also showed some love to the model on social media, captioning her post, “I loved celebrating my fav 🇦🇺Aussie Aussie Aussie 🇦🇺 (oi oi oi!) & sister from another mister 😂 @mirandakerr the other night @gdayusa Art’s Gala. congrats on the honor, I love our modern family.”

Kerr and Bloom were married from 2010 until 2013.

They released a joint statement after their amicable split that said in part, “Despite this being the end of [our] marriage, [we] love, support and respect each other as both parents of [our] son and as family.”

Bloom then started dating Perry in 2016. And after a brief split in 2017, the couple rekindled their romance the following year. They got engaged in 2019.

Meanwhile, Kerr and her Snapchat mogul husband, 32, have been married since 2017 and share two kids, in addition to Flynn, whom she welcomed with Bloom.

The model has previously been candid about her friendship with Perry, telling Luisaviaroma’s LVR magazine last year, “I adore Katy and am grateful Orlando found someone he is happy with.”

She added, “Now Flynn has four happy parents who get along.”
