Billy Bush feels ‘awful’ over Lisa Marie Presley interview, thought ‘something’s off’

Billy Bush is saddened over having done one of Lisa Marie Presley’s final interviews before she died.

“It feels awful,” the “Extra” host, 51, told People on Friday of speaking with the late songstress, less than two days before she passed away.

“I feel my heart is very heavy for pretty much anyone in pain.”

Bush also told Fox LA Friday of the interview, “She was very uneven in her balance.”

“The speech was very slow,” the journalist added. “And, definitely, when the interview was over, I turned to my producer next to me and said, ‘Something’s off here.’”

Bush interviewed Presley at the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet at the Beverly Hills Hilton on Tuesday evening.

She was there to support Austin Butler for his nomination for best actor in a drama for his portrayal of her late father, Elvis Presley, in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic of the music icon.

Since Lisa Marie’s death, Bush’s interview with her has gone viral due to her apparent unsteady appearance throughout it.

The “Lights Out” singer spoke to the entertainment news host alongside her dad’s longtime pal Jerry Schilling, whom at one point she asked to hold onto for support.

“I’m gonna grab your arm,” Lisa Marie told Schilling during the interview, while wrapping her right arm around his.

Meanwhile, Bush asked the “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” singer about Butler’s performance in “Elvis.”

“I was mind-blown, truly,” Lisa Marie responded as she leaned in closely to her friend. “I actually had to take like five days to process it because it was so spot on and authentic.”

Then, less than 48 hours later, Lisa Marie had to be rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, Calif.

She was reportedly placed in a medically induced coma and her condition was critical.

Sources also told Page Six that the “Storm & Grace” singer “coded multiple times.”

Family members reportedly signed a do-not-resucitate order in case she suffered another cardiac arrest — which she did.

Lisa Marie is set to be laid to rest alongside her son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020, and her father, Elvis, in Graceland.

She is survived by her mother and three daughters: Riley, 33, and 14-year-old twins, Finley and Harper — who are now set to inherit the iconic Tennessee estate.
