Prince Harry admits he lied, actually did cocaine as a teenager

Despite previous denials, Prince Harry is copping to cocaine use as a teenager in his bombshell “Spare” memoir.

The Duke of Sussex recalled British tabloids portraying King Charles III as a “harried single dad coping with a drug-addled child” when Harry was 17, noting that he was “of course … doing cocaine around this time.”

The former military pilot was first offered the drug “at someone’s country house, during a shooting weekend,” he writes in his book, which hits US shelves on Jan. 10.

“I’d been offered a line, and I’d done a few more since,” Harry explains, calling drug use not “much fun.”

Although it didn’t “make [him] particularly happy,” it did “make [him] feel different,” which was his “main goal.”

The prince, who was later accused of additional cocaine use in 2012 after a Las Vegas party book, also details losing his virginity as a teen in his book, writing that it happened in a “grassy field” behind a pub with an “older woman.”

Inside Harry’s new memoir

Although Harry does not identify his lover in the text, he notes that she “liked horses quite a lot” and treated him “like a young stallion.”

He writes, “[It was a] quick ride, after which she’d smacked my rump and sent me to grace.”

“Spare” also references Harry’s experience smoking weed with his school friends.

The 38-year-old previously revealed in May 2021 that he relied on alcohol and drugs to “mask” how he felt amid panic attacks after his mom Princess Diana’s death.

“I was willing to drink, I was willing to take drugs, I was willing to try and do the things that made me feel less like I was feeling,” he explained in the “The Me You Can’t See” episode, crediting wife Meghan Markle with helping him seek therapy.

Harry describes their relationship in his memoir, including watching her “Suits” sex scenes when they began dating.

He also accuses William of physically attacking him in a 2019 fight, but the Prince of Wales has yet to comment on the allegation.

The palace told Page Six it would not be commenting on any allegations in the book.
