Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share dramatic trailer for Netflix show

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finally giving fans a look at their highly anticipated Netflix docuseries — right in the middle of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Boston trip.

The trailer for “Harry & Meghan” dropped Thursday morning and shows photos taken throughout their relationship — including images of Markle looking glum at royal events and even crying — and brief footage of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new life in California.

“No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” Harry narrates.

“When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” Markle asks in the trailer.

The glimpse of the show arrived one day after Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in the US and attended a Celtics basketball game, escaping a racism storm that erupted Wednesday at Buckingham Palace that forced a longtime royal aide to step down.

Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, made their own allegations of racism within the royal family in their bombshell interview with Oprah in March 2021, prompting William to fire back, saying: “We are very much not a racist family.”

Until now, the streaming giant had remained tight-lipped on the Liz Garbus-directed project — despite Markle openly talking about it.

As Page Six previously reported, the series will launch on Dec. 8.

“It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story — a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired — even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it,” the “Suits” alum told Variety in October of working with Garbus, an Oscar-nominated director.

Markle also previously told The Cut that the series will focus on her relationship with Harry, calling it “the piece of my life I haven’t been able to share, that people haven’t been able to see … our love story.”

The series has been at the center of much media speculation ever since the royals signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix and started filming last year. They first worked with another Oscar nominee, director Garrett Bradley, before hiring Garbus.

The couple — who left the UK for California in early 2020 — were then “having second thoughts” on the project following Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September, a source previously told us.

“Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language,” the insider said.

Many know that, since stepping down from their royal duties, the couple has been condemned relentlessly, especially after sitting down with Oprah Winfrey in a tell-all interview back in March 2021.

In it, Markle detailed how she had been tortured by British media to the point where she contemplated suicide while pregnant with her son, Archie.

“I just didn’t want to be alive anymore,” the duchess told Winfrey, adding that she “just didn’t see a solution” to the barrage of negative reports about her.

“I would sit up at night, and I was just like, ‘I don’t understand how all of this is being churned out,’” she noted.

The “Deal or No Deal” alum also talked about how she was rebuffed when she asked a senior royal family member — who remained unnamed — for help.

During the interview, the couple shockingly revealed that members of the royal family had questioned the color of Archie’s skin before he was born.

The trailer’s release comes as Harry’s older brother, William, and sister-in-law, Middleton, embarked on a three-day trip to Boston on Wednesday to present the Earthshot Prize.
