Sources told us that the legendary weather presenter’s wife, Deborah Roberts, looked frantic as her husband was loaded into an ambulance — so much so that the ABC News journalist, 62, unsuccessfully tried to smash a window in their Tesla to retrieve her cellphone.

“Deborah then went to the hospital by taxi with her daughter, where Al has since been surrounded by his family,” one insider shared.

As a result of his latest hospitalization, Roker was absent from the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony Wednesday night.

“It was wonderful hosting the celebration, but, of course, we all wished that Al could’ve been with us,” Kotb said on “Today” Thursday.

Roker revealed via Instagram on Nov. 18 that he was first taken to the hospital “with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs.”

He missed his first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 27 years as a result, returning home just in time for a turkey dinner with his family.
