Josh Radnor is ‘very excited’ about new girlfriend
Does Josh Radnor finally have his “How I Met Your Mother” tale?
The never-married actor revealed at the premiere of his latest miniseries, “Fleishman Is in Trouble,” on Monday night that he is happily dating someone.
“During the filming of this, I was very much newly with someone [who] I’m still with and continue to be very excited about,” he told Page Six exclusively.
Radnor, 48, previously dated Minka Kelly and Lindsay Price. He was most recently linked to “Rectify” alum Abigail Spencer, who appeared in two episodes of “HIMYM,” though it is unclear whether they are just friends.
While discussing how his latest project centers on a couple’s acrimonious divorce, Radnor teased why he has yet to tie the knot himself.
“In some ways, I’ve always been scared of a bad marriage, spouses that were at odds with each other,” he admitted. “So there’s something relieving about being able to play that out in a fictional context. Maybe it means you won’t have to do as much of that in real life.”
Co-star Adam Brody shared that filming “Fleishman” made him appreciate his marriage to “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester.
“Very much so,” he enthused to us. “I don’t want to oversimplify, but it didn’t seem like an ideal marriage [in the series], and I think no relationship can be perfect, no person can be perfect. But yeah, by comparison … I generally feel great about my marriage, but by comparison, even more so.”
When Page Six expressed mock amazement that the “O.C.” alum, 42, didn’t consider himself perfect, he immediately shot back, “Well, I play flawed characters, but in real life I’m perfect. I don’t want to play it. It’s too boring!”
Also at the premiere of “Fleishman Is in Trouble” were Jesse Eisenberg and Claire Danes, who came along with her real-life spouse, Hugh Dancy.
