Chris Redd says he was covered in blood after he was brutally attacked in front of the Comedy Cellar in New York City last week.

“I was gushing blood,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum, 38, shared in a preview for an upcoming episode of “The Last Laugh” podcast on Thursday.

“It wasn’t really about the pain at that point. It was just so much blood.”

Redd, who was sucker-punched by the assailant, said he believes the man was wearing brass knuckles because of the severe damage the hit caused to his face.

“I’ve taken a punch to the face before so it wasn’t terrifying, but what was worrisome was how much blood was coming out of my face,” the comedian said.

“I got two fractures in my nose and a fracture on my cheek. A fist [doesn’t] normally do all of that in one time, so it’s safe to assume I was hit with something.”

Redd said his attacker ran off and was “gone” before anyone could chase after him. There have been no arrests made following the Oct. 26 incident.

However, there is footage of the crime, which the Primetime Emmy winner said he has seen.

“I fell down so fast, I didn’t even know I fell until I looked at the footage,” Redd also said on the “Last Laugh” podcast, noting that he was in denial at first about having taken a spill.

He then noted, “I jumped back on my feet very quickly — literally immediately, but, like, I did hit that ground for five seconds, though.”

Redd shared that there were many bystanders who rushed to his aid with tissues and called the ambulance.

The stand-up comic — who was set to perform at the iconic comedy venue that night — said he was tempted to go onstage and crack some jokes about what had just occurred.

“If we could’ve stopped the bleeding, I would’ve went on stage,” Redd said. “I mean, I’m glad I waited, but that was my first thought.”

The “Kenan” actor added, “I got some jokes. As many jokes as other people have, nobody has as many jokes about this as I do.”

Earlier this week, Redd gave concerned fans an update on how he was doing for the first time after news of the attack broke.

“I’ve been resting up like crazy but thank you thank you thank you for all the messages of love, the jokes, and the concern!” he wrote in a now-expired Instagram Story. “I’m ok and healing fast!!”
