Video shows man with gun standing near Takeoff seconds before his death

New video of the moments leading up to the fatal shooting of Migos rapper Takeoff surfaced online Wednesday, revealing the identity of a man who may be a suspect.

The footage obtained by TMZ shows a black male with short dreads, wearing a navy blue shirt, cap and black cross-body bag with patches on it, while holding a gun by his side.

The individual appears to look around while holding the pistol as an argument — in which Migos member Quavo was involved — ensues outside of 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston.

After the verbal dispute concludes, gunshots are fired and the man in question can be seen in the video clip aiming his gun.

It is unclear whether this person fired the fatal gunshot that claimed Takeoff’s life, but TMZ reports the armed man is a “person of interest.”

However, a public information officer at Houston Police would not confirm that information to Page Six on Wednesday and told us instead that the investigation is “ongoing” and directed us to Tuesday’s press conference.

At the presser, Sgt. Michael Arrington, the lead investigator on the case, implored the public to send police any video, texts or evidence that may help point them in the right direction as Takeoff’s killer was still on the loose.

“We want to find justice for this family,” he added. “They’re going through a lot right now … Help us to apprehend and get charges and arrest the person responsible for the death of Takeoff.”

Police chief Troy Finner also said during the conference that the suspect(s) were believed to have been guests at the private party that the “Bad and Boujee” rapper attended.
