Sorry, Andy Sachs.

Fans of “The Devil Wears Prada” went wild when Anne Hathaway stepped out at New York Fashion Week last month wearing a nearly identical outfit to one her character wore in the film — but according to the actress, her matching moment was purely accidental.

Hathaway, 39, wore a brown crocodile-embossed Michael Kors jacket to the designer’s show, layering it over a black turtleneck dress and wearing her hair in a pulled-back style with bangs that brought back memories of Andy in the movie.

She even sat next to Anna Wintour at the show, who was the inspiration for Runway Editor-in-Chief (and Andy’s boss) Miranda Priestly in “The Devil Wears Prada.”

“It was kind of nuts, wasn’t it?” Hathaway said of the outfit this morning during an appearance on the “Today” show, revealing that “it was by accident” that she twinned with her famous character.

The “Princess Diaries” actress explained that she “was supposed to wear something else, the shoes didn’t fit, this was the other outfit that came.”

Even her Andy-esque hair was purely a coincidence.

“And then my hairstylist, who was so lovely — I had never worked with him before — just said, ‘Oh I know what to do,’ and he threw my hair up in a ponytail,” she shared, continuing, “I looked in the mirror and I thought, ‘Oh that’s funny, I wonder if anybody will notice.'”

Laughing, the star added, “You noticed.”

Social media was abuzz after her front row moment, with one fan tweeting, “anne hathaway referencing herself from the devil wears prada (17 years ago) while sitting next to anna wintour at fashion week… the grip she has on me.”

“omg same but modified in a really cute & interesting way! I liveee” wrote another, while the Amazon Prime Video account even weighed in, tweeting, “Anne Hathaway recreating her Devil Wears Prada look for NY Fashion Week is all I want to talk about today.”

In the film, Hathaway plays a fish-out-of-water assistant at a Vogue-esque magazine, but in real life, her style is anything but basic. Whether she’s making her Cannes Film Festival debut in a glittering gown or rocking a colorful corset in NYC, the “WeCrashed” star always makes a style statement.

Even if she didn’t mean to match her character, we’d like to think that the fashion gods (or devils) helped make this moment happen.
