Shay Mitchell seemingly comes out as bisexual on TikTok
Shay Mitchell sparked speculation that she has come out as bisexual with a telling new TikTok video.
The actress, 35, recorded the video Wednesday, stitching it with another TikTok user who said, “If you identify as bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch?” Another TikToker then appeared on the screen, showing off her green velvet couch and saying, “I love knowing nothing about my life is original.”
The videos simultaneously played beside a clip of Mitchell, 35, filming herself sitting down on her own green velvet couch — without saying a word.
Several netizens surmised that the “Dollface” star was announcing she is bisexual and even pointed out that she played a gay character, Emily Fields, in “Pretty Little Liars” and a bisexual character, Peach Salinger, in the Netflix series “You.”
“Emily was my gay awakening so this just made my day,” one fan commented.
“Emily from PLL, Peach from You… 😳,” a second person wrote, making the connection between Mitchell and her queer characters.
“IS THIS A COME OUT VIDEO? how did i not know this? 😭😭 lots of love shay, my childhood crush,” another commented.
“PLS STOP ur my first woman crush. big love for the bi girls,” one more viewer added.
Mitchell shares two children — daughters Atlas, 3, and Rome, 4 months — with her longtime boyfriend, Matte Babel.
She revealed in 2019 that she had suffered a miscarriage just a year before Atlas’ birth.
Mitchell’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
