Taylor Swift opts out of ‘Amsterdam’ premiere and Drake’s party

Nothing comes between Taylor Swift and her music — not even her buzzy new acting role.
Swift is making a return to the big screen in new movie “Amsterdam.” But we’re told that the pop star had to skip its New York premiere on Sunday because she’s being honored for her music in Nashville, Tenn.
The Nashville Songwriters Association International will present Swift (who started out, of course, as a country artist) with the prestigious Songwriter-Artist of the Decade award on Tuesday. But it’s such a big deal in music circles that she had to stay in the city to prepare and couldn’t even come to New York two days before the ceremony to attend the premiere of her big film, which was directed by David O. Russell and also stars Christian Bale, John David Washington, Margot Robbie, Chris Rock, Mike Myers and more.
Rapper Drake — who’s a producer on the film — introduced the it at the premiere on Sunday, but he got an early start celebrating the night before. Sources told us he threw an unofficial premiere party at Richie Akiva’s members club The Ned late Saturday night. And despite erroneous reports that Swift showed up to party until the wee hours of the morning — we’re told she was, instead, prepping for her big night and was actually nowhere near the Big Apple.

A source described the late night soiree as an “impromptu celebration” for the film that took place in the so-called “Magic Room” at the club. DJ Rachel Winters kicked off the night spinning tunes before Drake’s personal deejays took over.
Kevin Durant hung out with Drake at a VIP table and we hear Kristen Stewart and Ashley Benson were also hanging on the club’s roof before joining Drake’s bash. Drake exited around 3:30a.m. “with his security,” a spy told us.
We guess Drake dipped out before closing to time to catch up on rest for the big premiere at Alice Tully Hall on Sunday. He and DreamCrew later hosted the official after party at Zero Bond.
Spies told us he and Rami Malek “were the last one’s on the dance floor” while Baz Luhrmann and Leonardo DiCaprio “talked shop in the corner.”
“The whole event was a lavish affair complete with casino games,” the source said.
We hear Drake and his Stake online casino even gave away $150,000 worth of prizes to attendees.
Taylor, you missed out!
