Tom Ford, June Ambrose and Vogue close the first truly chic NYFW in years

This month’s New York Fashion Week ended just as glamorously — and starrily — as it started.

Christian Siriano kicked off NYFW early with Janet Jackson sitting front row at his show, and Tom Ford officially closed out the week with VIPs including Madonna, Katie Holmes, Chris Rock and Erykah Badu sitting front row on Wednesday.

A spy told us Holmes was “extremely engaged in conversation” with her pal Rock and Madonna was “looking intense” with daughter Lourdes and son Rocco.

Basketball star Russell Westbrook was also on the scene talking to everyone and “being a social butterfly,” another source told us.

“He was talking about how he’s training for his new season and his upcoming poker tournament in Vegas,” a source told us.

His Vegas poker tournament is weekend at the Wynn Hotel and will raise money for his Why Not Foundation. We hear he’s auctioning off two floor seats to the Canelo Alvarez fight. But back to fashion!

The Blonds held their show at Spring Studios and it brought out original downtown stars like Susanne Bartsch, Amanda Lepore and Dianne Brill, who was later spotted checking out Maison Blanche by Yannik Zamboni’s show in an alley off Canal Street.

On Tuesday, Jay-Z’s longitme stylist June Ambrose upped Puma’s cool factor when she debuted 40 exclusive pieces she designed for the brand at their first fashion show. Missy Elliott, Babyface, Ari Lennox, Olivia Palermo and Winnie Harlow were some of the famous faces who stopped by for that one.

Richie Akiva hosted the Puma Futrograde after-after party at The Ned NoMad Magic Room, where Jared Leto, G-Eazy, Christian Combs, Skepta and Houston rapper Bun B partied.

Mayor Eric Adams took in Michael Kors show, sitting front row with Serena Williams, Anne Hathaway, and Anna Wintour, who took over the Meatpacking District with her “Vogue World” party earlier in the week. Rapper Lil Nas X was a surprise performer at that show. We hear he hit up the Boom Boom Room and even had a tarot card reading with mystical drag queen Kiki Slugqueen at The Summer Plaza at The Standard, High Line.

“He put his shoe, a stuffed animal, and his garage door opener on the table,” says a spy, who tells us Slugqueen then read the items and told him his future. Sadly, no one overheard his destiny.

Off the runway, George Wayne capitalized on fashion’s chic presence by hosting his annual Downtown 100 Party at Nebula that brought out Candace Bushnell, Jean Shafiroff and designer Frederick Anderson. Elle Decor also hosted a bash for screenwriter Mara Brock Akil that brought out new mom Elaine Welteroth.

And model Coco Rocha was spotted hanging out on the roof of the Hard Rock hotel during a party for The Daily.

Next up on the social calendar is the fall gala circuit.
