Doja Cat makes a case for the statement thong

The resurgence of the 2000s-era exposed thong is nothing new — just look to stars like Jennifer Lopez, Julia Fox and Dua Lipa for proof — but Doja Cat’s taking the throwback trend a step further with her statement G-string.

The “Say So” singer was snapped shopping in Calabasas, Calif., last week wearing a cropped ringer tee ($35) printed with “Yes” in bold red font, along with a matching white thong ($25) emblazoned with the same word — both from her brand-new clothing line, It’s Giving.

The Grammy winner covered up (if you can call it that) with an open-front denim miniskirt slung low enough to flash her strappy undies, and amped up the aughts vibes further with an It’s Giving trucker hat ($30), chunky-soled sneakers and a pink bedazzled Balenciaga Le Cagole bag ($7,000).

Doja later ditched the skirt to plug her new brand with a series of sultry Instagram snaps — and give fans a closer look at her drawn-on eyebrows bisected with tiny black hearts.

The 26-year-old artist unveiled a fresh buzzcut and shaved off her brows earlier this month. “I feel like I was never supposed to have hair anyway,” she told fans on Instagram Live at the time. “I, like, don’t like having hair.”

In the several weeks since, Doja’s experimented by accenting her penciled-on brows with itty-bitty apples, flowers and other artwork — and fiercely defending her new look against social media critics.

“I make hit after hit after hit and you all want me to look f—kable for you so that you can go home and jerk your c—ks all day long while you live in your mothers [sic] basement,” she tweeted at the haters last week, adding, “go f—k yourselves.”
