Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck cried during ‘emotional’ vows: eyewitness

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck cried while sharing “emotional” vows on their wedding day.

Kenosha Portis, an employee at Las Vegas’ A Little White Wedding Chapel where the newlyweds tied the knot, spoke to “Good Morning America” co-hosts on Tuesday about the nuptials.

“It was so exciting,” she gushed of the Sunday ceremony. “I mean, we were getting ready to close and we had a special guest arrive as a walk-in.

“I started shaking a little bit,” Portis continued. “Like, ‘This is Jennifer Lopez we are getting ready to marry!'”

The Nevada resident reflected on how “sweet” and “emotional” the couple were at the altar while reading their vows.

“They cried to each other,” she explained, noting that “their kids were right behind them.”

Affleck, 49, is a father of three, sharing Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Lopez, for her part, coparents twins Emme and Maximilian, 14, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

A source told Page Six on Monday that Emme and Seraphina were the only children attendance, adding that the ceremony was “very minimally planned” and “spur-of-the-moment.”

However, we’re told the couple is planning a bigger celebration in the coming weeks. It’s reportedly set to be held at Affleck’s 87-acre property in Riceboro, Ga.

The “Gigli” co-stars first began dating in 2002. While Affleck proposed to Lopez that same year, the couple ended their engagement in 2004.

The “Gigli” costars both “cried” during their “emotional” vows, Portis recalled.

Lopez reconnected with Affleck in 2021 following her split from Alex Rodriguez.

The dancer told her “On the JLo” newsletter readers in April of the following year that Affleck had popped the question for the second time. The proposal took place while she was in the bathtub.

“[I] just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again,” Lopez recalled. “I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘Is that a yes?’ I said ‘YES of course that’s a YES.’”

On Sunday, the “Maid in Manhattan” star gave her subscribers wedding details, calling the milestone moment “exactly” what she and the actor wanted.

“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” the New York native gushed. “It was the best possible wedding we could have imagined.”
