Paul McCartney fans are still torn over the former the rocker’s use of a Johnny Depp clip in his shows.

Even though he’s been using the clip, which is taken from his 2012 music video “My Valentine,” for almost a decade now, concertgoers at the Glastonbury Festival on Sunday were still “baffled” by the video.

One Twitter user described it as, “a completely unasked for and pointless show of Aging Male Pop Star solidarity with men who hurt women,” adding, “They’re all loathsome.”

“Everyone around me was completely baffled about if it was or wasn’t Johnny Depp! The set was boring enough to sustain this debate for a while too,” another festival attendee tweeted.

Another added they were “deeply disappointed” the former Beatles singer featured the clip. “The message that sends is Paul supports his powerful friends & not women. I thought #PaulMcCartney was a better man than that.”

“Look, Paul, I never liked you that much to begin with,” someone snapped.

However, fans of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star — who recently won a $15 million defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard — praised the singer for his continued use of the video.

“Paul McCartney and Johnny Depp being best friends is so iconic to me,” one person wrote, as another chimed in, “Well done to Glastonbury for allowing Paul McCartney to show his support for this.”

“Great to see Johnny Depp in Paul McCartney s set at Glastonbury 😎👏👏👏👏” someone added.

Many pointed out that McCartney, 80, never stopped using Depp’s image from the 2012 video — even throughout his lengthy court battle.

“The Johnny Depp//Natalie Portman video has been in #PaulMcCartney music sets for the past 10 years – he’s not randomly added it to make a statement, he’s just kept his set the same as normal & not conforming to any public peer pressure,” one user wrote.

Depp has been spotted out in England celebrating since he won his defamation case against Heard, who accused Depp of domestic violence in a 2018 Washington Post opinion piece. Following the six-week trial in Virginia, Depp took to TikTok to thank his fans for their loyalty and support, adding that it was time to “move forward” together.

The video of Depp has also been used in McCartney’s Get Back Tour. The singers reps didn’t get back to us about the video’s use when we reached out in May.

The decade-old music video features Depp and Portman in black and white, performing the lyrics in sign language.

McCartney and Depp have been friends for several years, with the musician even making a cameo in the 2017 film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”
