Brooke Shields and daughter Grier pose for Victoria’s Secret campaign
Like mother, like daughter.
Brooke Shields stars in Victoria’s Secret’s new Mother’s Day campaign alongside her younger daughter Grier Henchy, 15.
The fashion icon shared a video of the ad on Instagram Tuesday, writing that she was “overjoyed to be part of it.”
“To be able to shoot this campaign with my daughter and to showcase the beauty of our relationship was a dream come true,” she added.
In the sweet clip, a tearful Shields tells Grier, “I don’t think that I bargained to feel the pain of loving this much because it hurts all the time.”
Hari Nef, Lais Ribeiro, Chanel Iman, Yumi Nu and Paloma Elsesser also star in the campaign alongside their mothers.
“To be amongst such dynamic women and their families and to represent the brand’s commitment to celebrate all women is a true honor,” Shields wrote.
In an interview with InStyle, the “Blue Lagoon” actress said of the shoot, “It was very emotional and it was as if I was watching my baby girl grow up right in front of my eyes.”
She also said that Grier, who’s pursuing a modeling career of her own, “has a really good head on her shoulders,” and that she hopes she continues “to participate in meaningful and inspiring campaigns like this, that empower the love that women have for each other.”
Added Shields, “I think it is so important for her to understand that true beauty derives from loving yourself and others. For her to participate in modeling ventures that embrace women in so many facets of their lives is such a gift in this industry.”
Grier already has her mom’s iconic eyebrows, so it’s perhaps no surprise she’s following in her high-fashion footsteps.
The “Lipstick Jungle” star shares Grier and older daughter Rowan, 18, with TV writer Chris Henchy. They’ve been married since 2001.
