Julia Fox’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2022 look was made with human hair
We’ve got to hand it to Julia Fox.
The “Uncut Gems” muse certainly made a statement at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, wearing a black Han Kjobenhavn dress featuring a hand around her neck and a purse covered in human hair.
When asked about her unusual black leather dress, she pointed to her jacket and said, “This is Balenciaga and this [gown] is Hans … the last name is German and I can’t pronounce it, unfortunately.”
The head-turning (or grabbing) “Grip dress,” which hails from the Danish designer’s spring 2022 collection, features a sleek column silhouette finishing off with a hand-shaped halter neck detail.
She added long black leather gloves and black heels to the outfit, going jewelry-free to let her leather hand necklace (hecklace?) do the talking.
As for the rest of her look, Fox claims her clutch was made from another natural source.
“This is real human hair,” Fox told Vanity Fair, stroking her handbag at the event.
When asked about it again, Kanye West’s former flame said, “I think it is. I mean, I think so. I mean, it looks like it.”
Unsurprisingly, she showed off her signature “Fox eye” makeup for Oscars night, telling Vanity Fair, “I actually did it myself.”
This isn’t the first time the actress has made a surprising fashion choice in the past few weeks.
On March 24, Fox stepped out in a DIY slashed outfit and armpit-skimming leather gloves, while she sported another at-home creation featuring barely-there denim on St. Patrick’s Day.
Whether it’s a hairy bag or a cutoff top, Fox knows how to keep us talking.
