‘Celebrity Big Brother’ evictees turn on Todrick Hall ahead of finale
It’s safe to assume Todrick Hall isn’t going to win “Celebrity Big Brother.”
At least three of the eight contestants whose votes will determine the winner of Wednesday’s live finale have turned on Hall after watching back Season 3 and learning how deceitfully he played the game to get to the end.
Todd Bridges, who alongside Lamar Odom was sent home during Monday’s double eviction, described Hall, 36, as a “bulls–t artist” Tuesday after following host Julie Chen’s advice to catch up on the episodes before returning to crown the winner of the $250,000 grand prize.
“Todrick was amazing at convincing us of — excuse my language — bulls–t,” the “Diff’rent Strokes” alum, 56, told Us Weekly. “He was amazing at that. I never met a better bulls–t artist than him.”
Bridges explained that while he initially planned to vote for Hall to win, he has since “seen the light” and changed his mind.
“No way would he get my vote. There’s no way,” he said. “I’m shocked at all the horrible things he was saying. … No one likes the way he played the game. It’s OK to play to win, but not to play evil to win. That’s just not a good way to play.”
Odom, 42, saw a different side of Hall, too, after the singer and dancer became the Head of Household and put the two-time NBA champion up for eviction.
“After he won the HOH, he comes downstairs still singing, ‘HOH!’ I thought that was a gloat,” Odom told Us Weekly. “There’s a certain way to win and a certain way to lose.”
That said, the former basketball player — who admitted he had “never even heard of” Hall prior to being locked in the “Big Brother” house together — said he does not believe the YouTuber “wished to rub anyone the wrong way” and simply “took the wrong approach to winning and playing a game.”
Throughout the season, Hall has worked closely with Miesha Tate, doing whatever he and the mixed martial artist, 35, have to do to end up in the final two — including, at times, turning on and evicting their own alliance members.
While Hall and Tate did not break any of the game’s rules per se, their dicey actions evidently burned a lot of bridges along the way.
“For someone obsessed with Wizard of Oz, Todrick sure forgets we can see behind the curtain,” Teddi Mellencamp, who was the first evicted houseguest of the season, tweeted Tuesday.
Bridges replied, “You are so right. Teddi I saw stuff last night. Wow I was on to him to [sic] late and all I had was me to fight them both,” referring to Hall and Tate.
Even Chris Kattan, who is not eligible to vote in the finale after quitting the show earlier this month, was surprised to learn about the backstabbing.
“When I watched the episodes I could not believe what they were saying,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum, 51, tweeted Tuesday. “No wonder they stopped talking whenever I entered the room.”
Hall, Tate and former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey are competing in the “Celebrity Big Brother” finale, which airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
