Anderson Cooper announces birth of second son, Sebastian Luke, on-air

Anderson Cooper is a dad again!

In what’s becoming a family tradition, the CNN favorite announced the birth of his second son, Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper, on-air Thursday night.

He posted a photo of the adorable baby boy, little brother to Cooper’s 21-month-old son Wyatt Morgan.

In September, Cooper said he absolutely wanted more kids.

“Would I want to have more kids? I would, definitely. It would certainly be nice for Wyatt to have a sibling. Yeah, it would be,” he told People.

Cooper co-parents Wyatt with ex Benjamin Maisani, and Sebastian has also been given Maisani’s name. The couple split in 2018.

In November, Cooper appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ EllenTube “Dad Confessions” and admitted he had not been prepared for parenting Wyatt.

He joked that he had not babyproofed his home, adding: “I didn’t do that [before Wyatt’s arrival], and now I’m using deer fencing because I don’t really know what I’m doing.”

He added:”I got all these books about being a parent, and I didn’t read any of them. It turns out you actually have to read the books … just buying the books themselves, and having them around doesn’t work. You actually have to read them.”

Cooper broke the news of Wyatt’s birth via surrogate on his show, “Anderson Cooper 360,” in May 2020.

The openly gay star later told People: “When I was 12 years old and knew I was gay and thought about my life, it always upset me because I thought, ‘I will never be able to have a kid..’. this is a dream come true.”
