Rebel Wilson posts about ‘playing the field’ amid Matt Reid romance rumors
Rebel Wilson made a joke about “playing the field” via Instagram amid rumors that she is dating Australian tennis star Matt Reid.
“I don’t normally ‘play the field’ buuuut yesterday was different 😝🏈,” a slimmed-down Wilson, 41, captioned a series of pics of herself cheering on the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., on Tuesday.
“The biggest congratulations to @rams for making it to the Super Bowl!” she added of their win against the San Francisco 49ers. “I’m such a proud Ambassador! 💙💛💙💛.”
Wilson, chic in skinny jeans and an LA Rams T-shirt, posed with James Corden in one of the snaps and made a serious face with Michael Strahan in another.
And while many fans took notice of her clever caption, others couldn’t help but comment on her fit figure following her “Year of Health” journey in 2020.
“Can’t believe how slim you are now 😮,” one person wrote.
Another added, “You’re looking amazing Rebel! I’m 2 years behind but going to make 2022 my own ‘year of health.’ Going to be healthy for my daughter, my family & to feel better in my own skin! Thanks for being an inspiration for me! ❤️🔥💪keep on rockin it girl!”
Rumors that Wilson and Reid, 31, were dating started swirling in December 2021 when the pair were spotted enjoying a romantic lunch together at a café in Sydney, Australia, on Christmas Eve.
The duo first publicly appeared together when they attended the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards earlier that month.
While Wilson has yet to confirm the rumors, she seemingly alluded to having a Christmas crush before the holidays, writing on social media, “I wish you were wrapped up under my Christmas bush right now.”
The “Pitch Perfect” star was living her best life at last year’s Super Bowl following her breakup from Jacob Busch, an heir to the Anheuser-Busch fortune. They split after six months together.
A year prior, Wilson embarked on a “year of health,” and slimmed down to her goal weight by November 2020. She has steadily continued to drop pounds.
The actress previously shared that she wanted to lose weight amid her struggle with fertility, making progress by switching up her exercise routine and eating a healthier diet.
