Jonah Hill shows off black eye, escalates ‘feud’ with Baby Yoda

It’s not easy being green.

Jonah Hill is fanning the flames of his Hollywood “feud” with Baby Yoda.

The “Don’t Look Up” star, 38, showed off a shiner on Instagram that he got while surfing in Hawaii, joking in a video Tuesday: “I’m gonna say this once and once only. This black eye is from my surfboard. It is not from a fist fight I got into with Baby Yoda because of our falling out.”

In the caption of the post, he further explained: “That being said I do officially challenge Baby Yoda to a @verzuztv battle… And @disneyplus definitely did NOT pay me off to protect the fact that one of their marquee stars has a big mouth and would definitely catch hands if he didn’t sucker punch me with his little baby green fist.”

The cockamamie clash between the stars of “Superbad” and “Star Wars” emerged when Hill told W Magazine in a profile this month that his friend and regular co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, “made me watch ‘The Mandalorian’ when we were making ‘Don’t Look Up,’ and it was like, Baby Yoda was so cute, but I just didn’t give a f–k because I didn’t know anything that it was about.”

Hill’s less-than-enthusiastic take on the Disney+ “Star Wars” spinoff went viral, and Variety posted a story titled, “Jonah Hill Says Leonardo DiCaprio Forced Him to Watch ‘The Mandalorian,’ but ‘I Didn’t Give a F—” last week along with a split image of a tetchy-looking Hill and a seemingly insulted Baby Yoda.

Hill pointed out via Instagram of the Variety story: “They’re literally trying to create beef between me and Baby Yoda. I’m getting ahead of it. I wanna say this once on the record officially: Baby Yoda and I are dear friends and text at least once a week. We may not be text every day type of friends, and yes COVID put a strain on our friendship, but we are all good. And that’s all I will say on this matter! Now please respect our privacy at this time.”

Baby Yoda has yet to comment.

An avid surfer who has been vacationing in Hawaii with girlfriend Sarah Brady, Hill seems to have had a run-in with his surfboard resulting in a shiner — but took the opportunity to have some more fun escalating the Baby Yoda “feud.”

Now we can only hope that the two stars — real and imagined — partake in a battle on Verzuz, the web series created by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz in which celebs go head-to-head in music battles with competing playlists.

Megaproducer Mark Ronson has even volunteered to back Hill in the battle by commenting on his post, “If u need a DJ.”

Comedian Blake Anderson, meanwhile, posted a comment on Hill’s feed joking of the feud’s genesis — and the Baby Yoda character’s actual name, “It’s the subtle disrespect, he has a name, it’s Grogu.”

Hill then called Page Six out on Instagram for reporting on the pretend beef, and his humorous post. Yes, we do know the feud’s a joke! Jeez.
