Kelly Clarkson’s ex wins 5% of their contested Montana ranch

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock has won a small legal victory in their battle over a Montana ranch.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer, 39, has agreed to fork over 5.12% of the spacious abode, which translates into $908,800 of its hefty $17,750,000 price tag, court documents obtained by People reveal.

The couple has long waged a battle over the ranch.

Last October the talk show host was awarded it during her divorce proceedings against Blackstock. However, the talent manager argued that the ranch, where he still resided, was “marital property” and therefore not included in the couple’s prenuptial agreement.

Clarkson lost a bid to get Blackstock booted from the ranch in December, with a judge refusing to kick him off the property.

The “American Idol” alum filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage. She was awarded primary custody of their two children River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 5, during proceedings.

It has been an acrimonious split, with Clarkson accusing her ex and former father-in-law, Narvel Blackstock – who was previously married to Rebe McEntire – of fraudulence and “acting illegally” while managing her. He denied the charges.

It’s also been an expensive divorce with the singer being ordered to pay Blackstock $200,000 a month in spousal and child support.

Last month Clarkson joked that she fears that she’ll remain single forever and ignores red flags in relationships.
