Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s ex Abraxas Discala sentenced in $300M stock scheme

The ex-husband of HBO “Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has been sentenced to 11½ years in prison for orchestrating a $300 million pump-and-dump stock scheme, federal prosecutors said.

Abraxas Discala, Sigler’s former money manager who married her when she was 22, was slapped with the sentence in Brooklyn federal court on Wednesday, the US Attorney’s Office said.

Discala, 50, was also ordered to pay $2,484,873 in fines and will be expected to pay restitution, though the exact amount will be decided at a later date.

The CEO of now-defunct OmniView Capital Advisors was convicted in May 2018 of artificially inflating shares of unstable stocks and then selling them off to unwitting investors before the securities crashed, becoming nearly worthless.

“Discala conspired to manipulate trading activity in penny stocks in furtherance of a scheme to defraud the securities market and investing public of millions of dollars,” Breon Peace, US attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said in a statement.

“With today’s sentence, Discala has been held accountable for his crimes and the harm he caused to investors.”

Discala and Sigler — who played Tony Soprano’s daughter Meadow on the hit HBO Mafia series — were married from 2003 to 2006.
