Charlie Sheen suggests Denise Richards ‘complain to the judge’ after child support loss

Charlie Sheen suggested that his ex Denise Richards “should go down to the courthouse and complain to the judge” over being “blindsided” by her recent child support loss.

Speaking from the Malibu, Calif., Whole Foods parking lot, Sheen, 56, was asked by paps about a source’s claim to Page Six Wednesday that Richards was “blindsided” by the win and “very saddened by the entire situation.” He declined to comment further beyond his suggestion to his ex.

“Charlie filed two years ago and kept pushing the court date, so Denise was very surprised that it happened while she is out of town filming,” the source said. “He’s manipulating the situation.” But another insider insisted to People on Tuesday that Richards, 50 — who is filming her latest movie, “Wickenburg,” in Ontario, Canada — “has known about the court date for six months.”

The court granted Sheen’s request to stop payments to the couple’s children — Sami, 17, and Lola, 16 — at a hearing in Los Angeles Tuesday, per a minute order obtained by Page Six.

The “Two and a Half Men” star told Us Weekly outside the courthouse at the time that the ruling was “extremely fair.”

The couple and their kids landed back in the news in September when Sami called Richards’ home “abusive” in a now-private TikTok video, saying she felt “trapped.”

But a source said at the time that the issue came down to Richards’ and Sheen’s differing approaches to parenting: “Denise set normal rules that any parent would be setting … Charlie didn’t support implementing Denise’s rules. He has a different way of parenting and Sami decided to live with her dad.”

Richards and Sheen were married from 2002 until 2006.

“A lot of people have an impression of me being wild and crazy,” she said in a May 2020 episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” “But Charlie was sober when we got married so we were not this swinging couple like people might assume. We weren’t.”

However, she added, “When I got pregnant with Lola, things started to change rapidly. It was a very dark time. Very toxic. And I filed for divorce when I was six months pregnant with her.”

Richards’ rep couldn’t be reached Wednesday.
