Britney Spears was vacationing with Sam Asghari as judge freed her from father

Britney Spears was enjoying time away from Los Angeles amid her latest conservatorship win.

The pop star was vacationing with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, on Wednesday as LA Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny suspended her estranged father, Jamie Spears, from her conservatorship on Wednesday, a source told Page Six.

“Britney wanted to get away and relax with her new fiancé,” the source said. “She did not attend the hearing virtually. She had multiple detailed conversations with her lawyer before the hearing and trusted that he would get the job done, and he did.”

After hearing arguments from Jamie and Britney’s respective attorneys, Vivian L. Thoreen and Mathew S. Rosengart, the judge noted that it was in the singer’s “best interest” to immediately have Jamie suspended from the conservatorship.

“The current situation is untenable,” the judge said. “It reflects a toxic environment which requires the suspension of James Spears effective today.”

The judge also approved Rosengart’s request to appoint certified public accountant John Zabel as temporary conservator of Britney’s estate.

A source told Page Six after the hearing that the victorious decision led Britney, 39, to “burst into tears.”

“For the longest time, she had begun to think that she would never see the day that her father’s domineering control over every single aspect of her life would end, but it finally happened,” the source said, adding that Britney was “in shock” but “literally jumping” for joy. “She hasn’t felt joy like this in 13 years.”

Britney later took to Instagram to celebrate the news herself, sharing videos of her and Asghari, 27, flying a private plane.

“On cloud 9 right now,” she raved. “First time flying a plane and first time in a prop plane ✈️ !!! Geez I was scared 😳 🙄 !!!”

“Stay classy beautiful people !!!!” she continued. “New pics coming soon 📷😉✨ !!!!”

Meanwhile, Jamie, 69, believes that the judge’s ruling is a “loss” for his daughter.

“Mr. Spears loves his daughter Britney unconditionally. For thirteen years, he has tried to do what is in her best interests, whether as a conservator or her father,” Jamie’s lawyer said in a statement. “This started with agreeing to serve as her conservator when she voluntarily entered into the conservatorship.”

Britney, who has been in a conservatorship since 2008, alleged in explosive court testimony back in June that the legal arrangement was “abusive.” She said at the time that she also wanted her father charged with conservatorship abuse.

Britney’s attorney told reporters outside the courtroom Wednesday that his next priority is to dissolve the conservatorship altogether. The next hearing has been set for Nov. 12.
