Amanda Kloots, Zach Braff honor Nick Cordero at Broadway’s ‘Waitress’ reopening

Amanda Kloots and Zach Braff attended the Broadway reopening of “Waitress” in honor of Kloots’ late husband Nick Cordero.

“The Talk” co-host and “Scrubs” actor flew to New York City to attend the event on Thursday, over a year after Cordero died at 41 from COVID-19 complications.

Cordero — who was one of Braff’s closest friends — starred in the Tony-nominated musical before his passing.

The show honored Cordero by adding a “Live Your Life” pie to the diner’s menu, which paid homage to his single in the show.

Kloots, 39, shared her excitement at the tribute on Instagram, writing, “Thank you to the whole @waitressmusical cast and crew for this special invite and tribute to the original Earl. I’m pretty confident that I will cry through the entire show but I can’t wait to be there ❤️❤️❤️.”

Kloots wore a sparkling red pantsuit by Genny for the occasion and was styled by Jeanann Williams.

The reopening came the day before what would have been the couple’s fourth anniversary.

Kloots — who briefly moved in with Braff and his girlfriend Florence Pugh right after Cordero’s death — posted a touching tribute to Cordero on Instagram, sharing a video of them exchanging rings and walking down the aisle at their wedding alongside other photos from their nuptials.

She captioned the snippets of their day, “Hey baby! Happy 4th wedding anniversary to us! Our wedding was one of the best days of my life and I’ll never ever forget it. I’ll never forget our first look, our first kiss as husband and wife and our first dance. You’ll always be my husband, my angel now, but always the love of my life. Here’s to us ❤️”

Braff previously paid tribute to the late actor after his death, writing on Instagram, “The last thing he ever texted me was to look out for his wife and one year old son, Elvis. I promise the world they will never want for anything. I feel so incredibly grateful I got to have Nick Cordero enter my life.”
