Sonja Morgan slays at dress rehearsal for her new comedy show

Sonja Morgan wants to make America laugh without the boozy drama on “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

Morgan, 57, is planning a “Sonja in Your City” US comedy tour and gave New Yorkers a sneak peek of her comedic chops at Asylum NYC on Thursday night. It was a live rehearsal for friends and family.

Asylum owner Norm Laviolette said, “This was the fastest sellout of a show in the club’s history.”

Morgan’s pals at the improv show included “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Nicky Doll, Paper Magazine’s Mickey Boardman and designers Marc Bouwer and Malan Breton.

Morgan dazzled — literally — in a sparkling silver dress and treated the crowd to song-and-dance numbers and skits and even held an audition for her next intern, we’re told.

“She was great. She made fun of herself, and there was a lot of fan interaction. The crowd loved her,” a source who attended the show told Page Six.

Morgan made fun of popular moments from the Bravo show like “creating a jingle for the infamous Sonja Morgan Toaster Oven” and “receiving sex and relationship tips,” the source said.

At one point during the show, Morgan’s “Real Housewives” castmate Leah McSweeney phoned in via FaceTime with fan favorite boxing trainer Martin Snow.

We’re told Morgan had the crowd chanting her name by the end of her nearly hourlong set.

Her first official show will premiere at Asylum on Sept. 8 and again on Oct. 13 due to high demand. We’re told she plans to expand to cities like Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Baltimore and more.
